So, the first review up on the blog will be my new Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy build a figure series Starlord. I found Peter (Peter Quill) while wandering through a local Target. I debated between him Gamora (from the same figure series), Ironman(also from the same figure series), and a Winter Soldier (separate build a figure series) that was sitting on the shelf.

Let's Get Started.
ACCESSORIES
Attached to his back is a satchel. The very same one from the movie. He comes along with his two pistols, the infinity sphere, a second head, a cassette player and headphones to go with the second head.
SCULPTING

The sculpt is very well detailed for an action figure.
The helmet is detailed down to the tubing but the tubing itself is standard tubes. The goggles are well detailed and the panels are layered. The helmet attaches to the first head. The hair is very well sculpted and contains some nice overlaps so that you can distinguish locks. He features some amazing articulation. The jacket is well layered and attaches at the upper body and has a hang to the boots. The undershirt has minor wrinkling. Belt is detailed and the pants have a nice transition to the boots. The boots include the jets and they are very well detailed. Minor detailing on the gloves. The second head has the same mold of the hair. Seam lines are very well hidden on the heads and the jacket. The guns are very well sculpted, and the headphones have amazing detailing for their size. The cassette is very basic, and the sphere is pretty muddy as far forms go but its a very decent addition.
The painting is pretty much what youd expect. The colors are well laid. The jacket has a mist of black in the detailing. Silver on the buckles and the straps have a darker muted red/grey. The helmet is painted a black color as opposed to the silver seen onscreen. That might be to give it variation from the silver tubing. The hair is a solid brown, but the modelling of the locks gives it deep dark furrows. The entire piece consists of reds with a few browns and silvers thrown in.
The guns are a solid grey with a bit of gold.
Now the painting on the Peter Quill head leaves a lot to be desired. If I grab a second figure (for the additional body) I'd more than probably do a custom paint job on it. The eyes seem a bit odd, and it's very asymmetric. The inclusion of some stubble would be pretty awesome. A detail I might add myself.

ARTICULATION
Starlord is very well articulated. Right out the box he was ready to pose. His hand holds the cassette perfectly, however does not hold the sphere very well. The hands grip the guns but their still a bit loose. He has all the joints and swivel wrists. The cape gets in the way of a few poses but I managed to set up a few good ones.
VALUE
Retailing for around 20.00$ USD I find him well worth it. He comes with some very cool accessories (hoping to assemble the seven infinity stones now **Hint Hint Marvel). Now storing them is up to you as the satchel doesnt open to insert the casette or the sphere. I personaly zipped them in an extra figma bag I had (the ziplock with the writing space).
WHATS NEXT?
I have one piece of Groot that came with Starlord. 4 more pieces left that come with:
Rocket, Gamora, Drax. Ironman and NOVA. Just have to hunt them down.
Head over to the Album on Facebook to view the complete set of images. See you soon collectors.
